Kathryn Hatam
Kathryn is an experienced filmmaker versed in multiple facets of production. Raised in the rural American South, she became involved with the visual and preforming arts through dedicated teachers and amazing mentors. Her love of theatre blossomed throughout high school where she performed not only in school productions, but also in both local and professional theatre groups. Since then, Kathryn has served as a 1 st AD and Producer in locations across the United States – traveling from Virginia to Minnesota, The Carolinas to California, New Orleans, and back again. As an Assistant Director for both studio and independent projects of all budgets, she focuses on efficient scheduling and clear communication. Kathryn has found great success in fostering teamwork and collaboration with her film crews in order to maintain a safe and encouraging work environment.
She sits on the advisory board for The Grandin Theatre Film Lab that nurtures high school filmmakers and is active in several community organizations. Kathryn believes in the continued work of expanding accessibility to filmmaking - championing unique, diverse, and underserved voices. She believes that strong partnerships and representation in front of and behind the camera expand all of our horizons.
